I am often asked, “what are the best travel accessories for long flights?”. I’m going to try to explain it in a way that explains it to you.
Think of your long flight as a trip, where you are in a “room” and you’re taking a vacation. You’re going to stay in a hotel for the entire time and be there as much as you want. If you want to do activities in your room, take them. If you want to go shopping in your room, do that. If you want to go to a movie in your room, do that.
Basically, you should take everything with you. You should do everything you can to make a vacation as enjoyable as you can. This is true even if you are traveling with kids, who may have to spend more time with you in your room than kids with parent-less siblings would.
This applies to hotels as well. If you spend more time in your room than you would with someone you know, you should probably get a hotel room.
If you need to take your laptop with you, buy a travel-size computer.
We’ve been told that the main benefit that comes with buying a computer is that it can be your best friend while you’re away. If you’re not planning on working from home, that can be a good thing. However, in most cases you need to make sure that the computer you are buying is a good fit, and that it is compatible with your other computers. Also, make sure that your laptop is compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7.
When you buy a laptop, you need to make sure that it is compatible with your system. In the case of a Mac computer, it should be compatible with the Mac OS, and the Windows OS should also work. If you think youve got other computers that are compatible with Windows, buy another computer for them. Just make sure that all of the computers you need for your travels are also compatible.
If you dont have any Windows computers, you can still get Windows Vista or Windows 7 machines that will run on your Windows PC. Just buy an external hard drive or a USB flash drive with Windows XP or Vista or 7 on it.
I’ll be writing about this in the next chapter. It’s good to know that you can get your books, videos, or other kinds of software from Amazon. Amazon may not want to sell you books, but they probably will offer them for purchase.
